Samba

About the Samba
Samba Information

An excellent choice for couples who want to experience the Galapagos Islands while sailing, the Samba motor yacht is managed by the owners and is well known for her outstanding services on board.

With teak decks, the wonderful Samba was Dutch built in 1966 as a luxury private yacht, though it has been perfectly converted into a cruise boat specializing in Galapagos Islands cruises.

The Samba motor sailor accommodates 14 guests, a perfect number for enjoying the magic of the Galapagos Islands with privacy and flexibility. Passengers are accommodated in seven (7) double cabins, each with private bathrooms and hot water.

The Samba motor sailor’s main deck has a large dining room with a lounge area that connects to an al fresco dining facility, a TV and a sound system, a small library of books and videos about the islands. Here is where briefings and conference-talks are given and planning about next day activities. In addition, there’s a cozy bar that will offer you the most refreshing drinks between your Galapagos excursions.

The upper deck — with an outside dining area and sun protection — is ideal for bird and marine life watching, while the foredeck has enough space for sun bathing, dolphin watching or just relaxing and observing marine life and the beautiful landscape of the Galapagos Islands. The ample and comfortable space on deck makes this boat ideal for nature and photography cruises.

The Samba’s naturalist guide is considered one of the best in the Galapagos Islands, and its crew always is friendly and helpful – with all of them devoted to “going the extra mile” to make your journey a trip of a lifetime.

The Samba motor sailor is a small but graceful, good-quality sailing vessel with comfortable accommodations for a tourist-class Galapagos Islands cruise. All its features will make your Galapagos Islands holidays a lasting and memorable experience.
