Athala Catamaran

About the Athala Catamaran
Athala Information

If you’re not into crowds and want lots of personalized attention, then the recently refurbished luxury catamaran Athala II is just the thing for you and your cruise through the Galapagos Islands.

This highly acclaimed 16-passenger luxury yacht features eight incredibly spacious cabins on two decks – making it feel a like you’re cruising with new friends on a private yacht.

The Athala II’s fully-air conditioned passenger accommodations consist of eight (8) double staterooms. Of these, four (4) have private balconies and are located on the main deck, while the other four (4) are located on the upper deck. All of the staterooms offer large picture windows and either queen- or twin-sized bed configurations.

The Athala II’s upper deck features a bar and a beautiful open area for relaxation and al fresco dining (all meals are served as a buffet style with soft drinks included). The sundeck is great for dolphin and whale watching or simply relaxing in the jacuzzi.

Capable of reaching 12 knots, the Athala II is one of the fastest ships in the islands, allowing you more time to enjoy all the marvels the islands have to offer.

In addition to daily hikes to some of the islands’ most spectacular spots, guests are invited to paddle sea kayaks, snorkel with a host of Galapagos Islands aquatic friends or simply relax on the beach.

Served by a crew of 10 professionals, in the evenings you can soak in the hot tub with a drink or attend a lecture by the ship’s expert naturalist.
